About Ada Clerigo

You feel stuck, overwhelmed, and even frustrated…and maybe a little exhausted from pretending you are not. Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of your own expectations, painful experiences in the past that still linger, or questions about who you truly are. There’s part of you that is tired of keeping it all together because “it’s part of being an adult,” but there’s this voice at the back of your mind that always says, “I wish to do things differently.”

My name is Ada Clerigo, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston. I work with teens and individuals who experience anxiety, depression, chronic perfectionism, childhood trauma, and familial guilt. As a graduate level clinician, I bring a compassionate, curious, and nonjudgemental lens to therapy with a good dose of humor to keep things real and human. My goal is to offer you a safe space where you feel seen and heard without pressuring you to “fix” everything all at once. I believe clarity stems from having a genuine connection with yourself.

I utilize integrative approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based theory, Gestalt theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. Together, we’ll observe patterns, explore the parts of you that want to be seen, make space for your feelings, and find practical tools to support you in your therapeutic journey!

Outside of counseling, you’ll find me playing my guitar, hanging out with my friends at a boba cafe, watching horror movies with my partner, and collecting more books than I can actually read (hey, at least my TBR list is thriving!).
