About Christian Fuentes

Starting therapy can feel like stepping into unfamiliar territory but you don’t have to do it alone. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and motivated to grow. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges or working through deeper questions about who you are and where you’re headed, I’m here to walk alongside you.

I’m especially passionate about working with couples navigating conflict or disconnection, and with adolescent and adult men working through emotional expression, identity, and interpersonal challenges. My therapeutic style is rooted in strengths-based work, drawing from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Narrative Therapy. I believe in asking the right questions to help you tap into your own resilience, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps forward.

My work is shaped by my own journey both as a graduate-level Marriage and Family Therapy student and as someone who’s had strong mentors and supporters along the way. With a background in sports, I naturally bring a coaching mindset to my sessions encouraging clients to push toward their goals while building emotional agility and confidence.

As someone who values gratitude and curiosity, I approach therapy with openness to each person’s story, especially when it’s shaped by culture, heritage, or lived experience that may feel unfamiliar or misunderstood. I honor the unique lenses clients bring into the room and work to make therapy a place where they feel seen, respected, and genuinely welcomed.

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, recharging with movies or audiobooks, or staying active through workouts and sports. I’ve always appreciated the healing power of humor, connection, and curiosity both in and out of the therapy room and I bring that energy into the work we do together.

You feel stuck, overwhelmed, and even frustrated…and maybe a little exhausted from pretending you are not. Perhaps you’re carrying the weight of your own expectations, painful experiences in the past that still linger, or questions about who you truly are. There’s part of you that is tired of keeping it all together because “it’s part of being an adult,” but there’s this voice at the back of your mind that always says, “I wish to do things differently.”

My name is Ada Clerigo, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston. I work with teens and individuals who experience anxiety, depression, chronic perfectionism, childhood trauma, and familial guilt. As a graduate level clinician, I bring a compassionate, curious, and nonjudgemental lens to therapy with a good dose of humor to keep things real and human. My goal is to offer you a safe space where you feel seen and heard without pressuring you to “fix” everything all at once. I believe clarity stems from having a genuine connection with yourself.

I utilize integrative approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, attachment-based theory, Gestalt theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques. Together, we’ll observe patterns, explore the parts of you that want to be seen, make space for your feelings, and find practical tools to support you in your therapeutic journey!

Outside of counseling, you’ll find me playing my guitar, hanging out with my friends at a boba cafe, watching horror movies with my partner, and collecting more books than I can actually read (hey, at least my TBR list is thriving!).
