About John Kelly

As a psychotherapist specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, I help individuals, couples, children, and families navigate life’s transitions. My expertise encompasses a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, self-esteem, and relational issues.

In my therapeutic practice, I adopt a holistic and collaborative approach that recognizes the unique needs of each client. By tailoring treatment plans to suit your specific goals, I draw upon a diverse array of therapeutic modalities, such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness.

With thoughtfulness, warmth, and intuitive understanding, I create a space for exploration and growth. I possess the ability to skillfully employ humor or delve into the challenging aspects of your experiences, striking a delicate balance. Guided by kindness and compassion, I will encourage and support you towards personal development. My ultimate aim is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.

Outside of the office, I enjoy volunteering with numerous local and international organizations, focusing on mental health access and human trafficking. I also serve as a Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT) Member and a Board Member of the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (HAMFT).

By entrusting me in your therapy, you can be assured that I will provide a safe, collaborative, and transformative space for exploration and healing. Together, we will work towards restoring balance and finding that sense of calm you seek in your life.
